NEW STEPS TO NAB NRI OFFENDERS

Government of India has formed an inter-ministerial committee to take steps to bring to book the Non-Resident Indians who are involved in marital offences like absconding after marriage. Out of the 70 odd complaints that were received by it, passports of 8 NRIs have been cancelled and look-out notice to arrest them wherever possible have been issued by the authorities.
